About Us
David and Marie Blouin
We met in college, where a sewing machine took up precious dorm room space in Marie’s suite and Dave’s closet was entirely usurped for a dark room setup. We were married in the Finger Lakes in 2004 and bought our first lake house (shack) that same year. We have always loved creating and more recently Marie began Keuka Blue Gifts, an Etsy shop offering Finger Lakes gifts. Keuka Made is the merging of two of our favorite things – Keuka Lake and making.
When this property became available in 2020, we knew it was meant to be. It's the lake compound we’ve always dreamed of for our three growing boys with plenty of space to host our family and friends throughout the lake season, as well as a vacation rental. We both teach and spend full summers on Keuka, with our permanent home not far away in Corning, NY.
One of the most exciting things about this property is the amazing space it provides for gathering to create with a stunning view of the most beautiful of the finger lakes. We love to entertain, to create, and to share this special place with others and have been looking for the perfect place to host craft retreats. Keuka Made brings it all together! We can’t wait to host groups up to 16 to quilt, scrapbook, knit, or just visit in the heart of the finger lakes with stunning Keuka views.

Why Keuka Made?
The name Keuka Made is a play on the Keuka Maid dinner boat that docked in Hammondsport years ago and a nod to
the quilters, crafters, and makers who visit us in the off season to create. One of my earliest memories is a very special birthday lunch on the Maid with my mom, my aunt, and both my grandmothers. We all had close birthdays; mine
fell right between my two grandmothers who were 2 days apart. Keuka has stolen our hearts and we look forward to helping make it your happy place, too.
